Playing on short rest, the Tigers found themselves winning an over-time thriller 3-2 in a near identical rematch of last years Regional Final. Unlike last years 0-0 match, with Katy winning on penalties, this years match finished regulation at 2-2. Westside scored early, yet forward Fernando Montelongo's flick of a penalty from the right side evened the score moments before half-time. In the second half the Tigers took the wind at their backs, again quickly finding themselves down 2-1 on a defensive breakdown. Adrian Mendoza quickly responded with a shot out of reach by Westside's goalie. In overtime, both teams were held scoreless and for the second year in a row, the game was settled by 35 yard penalties. Forward Jose Ruiz, whose game winning goal against Elsik moved the Tigers to their match with Westside, replace Martin Acevedo in goal. Ruiz stopped all five Westside shots and converted the lone Tiger penalty to give the Tigers the win.
