Jose Ruiz completed a hat trick, scoring three goals for the Tigers, and Katy's defense held off a strong 2nd half surge by Seven Lakes to earn a 3-1 win at Tiger Stadium. After leading 2-0, Seven Lakes scored on a Caleb Friedman penalty kick to bring the game closer, however Jose Ruiz's volley with minutes to play sealed the Tigers win. Katy is now 2-0 in district play and will visit Katy Taylor Friday night at 7:30.
